Mirror before (above)
How busy is life these days?!?!?!? Maybe it's just that I'm spending so much more time hunting through fabulous blogs that I don't have time to fit much else in! Oh well, I'm making up for the 4 weeks over Christmas that we'll be away and won't have much access to a computer.
Thanks to all the friends who made suggestions about my recently aquired mirror. I went with my gut (or played it safe!) and painted it white. I'm really happy with the result.
Yesterday I painted a wall of the foyer in stripes and just have to finish off the skirtings and door architraves (when I get some more sandpaper). The chairs featured will soon be listed on ebay. I am trying to decide whether to list them as a set of 6 or split them into 3 lots of 2 so if anyone just wants a couple of occasional chairs they can bid for 2. Any thoughts???

The mirror turned out fabulous. I also really love the stripes on the wall. Your console and mirror are just so pretty together. What if you painted two of the chairs to match the console and kept them. I think they are stunning. Hugs, Marty
Your stripey wall looks fantastic! And the mirror looks much much better painted. Looks good together.
Love what you are doing with your foyer. Got to go with your gut on the mirrow ... turned out great.
Ahhh those stripes - they sing to my heart!! x

Love the mirror painted white, cannot believe the transformation!! I love the chairs there too - i just did the same thing and put the 2 carvers from my new project in the bedroom and the other 4 at a round table. I love the stripes and the mirror. It looks fantastic! Thank you for your comment on my blog, I always love finding new ones!
Ange love the mirror painted white - what a difference. Don't let me near your hall console would take that home in a flash. Striped walls look unreal, great job.

Hi Ange -
Love your blog - as I read your profile and posts I kept saying "me too me too me too."
Love the mirror in white, of course, and I LOVE chairs!
I'm following you -
Marsha
The stripes look fantastic, much more interesting then plain white. The mirror looks great in white against the stripes. Your entrance is really starting to make a statement!
Hi Ange
Sorry for not commenting sooner - I was away all last week and unable to comment as I was in the country where the internet service is terrible. Your entry is looking fabulous - love the stripes. The console - I'd paint it white. It would look lighter and match the mirror. I've just painted some side tables in our living room white and love them. Leigh
Fab job Ange & I'm with Leigh - keep going with the white paint & give the hall table the Ange Bright White treatment too! Those stripes are yummy, it's all looking VERY good.

I have just stumbled across your blog and am loving it so far, have lots to look at yet, but noticed the chairs in this post and had to laugh as I came across them yesterday on EBAY and nearly drooled all over the keyboard then had to pull myself into line and tell myself NO!!!! I have soooo many chairs...I am thinking I have a problem..., definately a chair fetish, but I have 17 chairs that I have bought recently waiting to do up, but I just wanted to tell you that I loved them and good luck, they should get snapped up quick smart.
Okay off to drool over the rest of your blog.
Cheers.
Sandra
