Sunddenly words like character and distress take on a negative connotation, antique becomes ancient and yes, we've had some scratches and the paint is chipping off but how is that a good thing???
Maybe if we reframe our mental image of grey hair to something more like this...
or this......
or this......
or this......
or this......
or this......
or this......
"Gray hair is a crown of splendour; it is attained by a righteous life" Psalm 16:31
On a different note..I wanted to mention a blog that I have been really enjoying and was particularly taken with her August posts. Can I recommend that you pop over and take a look at Stella and Pearl if you haven't already visited.
FYI , I have a modicum of grey hair that I am debating whether or not to cover up so not actually sure where I stand in relation to this issue ;o)

I guess I'm a bit shallow or maybe it runs in the family, but I don't want gray hair. As my beloved grandma once said, "As long as Miss Clairol is alive, I'm never going gray!" She had her hair colored just days before she passed away. I loved that lady to pieces.
Great post! I love women who have full gray - I think it is absolutely stunning!

I love your post today! Grey is beautiful! I love white hair too!
Take care! /Jackie
Great post today! I must admit, I do put a rinse on my hair. If I thought I'd look that good, though, I'd let it go grey! Linda
Okay, first...love love love the piece of furniture. I am loving gray lately (decor that is), however hair is a different subject. If I had beautiful gray or silver hair like some of those photos, I would let it go in a heartbeat. Unfortunately I am only 50% gray and it is a mousey gray, not pretty at all, so I reach for the Clairol once a month.

hahahaha! I love a long mane of grey hair. I hope to rock it some day (but not soon...) Red hair tends to dull instead of show the greys. For decor - obsessed! I am itching for Rubie Green's new grey fabrics to be released.
How did your staple removing go?
LOL Ange!! That's so funny... Grey & Gray have been on my mind a lot lately!!
Painting & hair!
Love your post!
Blessings ~ Teresa
I say get out in the sun a bit and let's rename it 'white' like the French do!!! Well written post Ange!
Hilarious and insightful post! So glad to find your blog after you introduced yourself today! Adore the grey love here! The redos are beautiful; looking forward to perusing further, so fun to see a bit of Australia ~ Angela
haha! I love your blog. That was hilarious. I'm not quite ready to let the gray take over but love how it looks when it's all gray. It's the in between or 1 or 2 or 100 here and there. ;)
I'm catching up on your posts. The transformations and your accents are awesome!
