A Little Tacky?

We don't really celebrate Valentine's Day in our house. We pretty much stick to Christmas, Easter, Birthday's and Anniversaries...sad but true.
........So I don't know what happened this year, but on Friday, hubby presented me with a gift before going out of town on business for a couple of days. This gave me time to get creative with a gift for him. I knew full well that spending any amount of $$$ would NOT be received as an expression of love in any way, shape or form at the present time, so what to do???
Yesterday I let my youngest loose with a piece of wood, my hammer and some upholstery tacks and she created a great picture of a butterfly and a heart. I was so impressed that I got to work on a creation of my own. It is romantic, in a masculine sort of way, and I think he will be able to find the perfect spot for it on his office wall at work.

Very masculine indeed! I think that perhaps you don't celebrate V-Day because you're a Kiwi! :-D When we lived in N.Z. I made sure to introduce the holiday to all of Carls brothers...we even celebrated Halloween and Thanksgiving! :-) Nothings better then receiving something from the heart from your loved one, eh?!

Ange you are so clever. This is really fantastic.

I must confess that we don't do much for Valentine's either but I always make sure that I have a stock of pink lady heart chocolates!

Hope that you are well.

Best wishes,

G'day Ange! Thanks for the compliments!
Her name is Finish(my hubby's family side) and is pronounced Anneekkee. I think this is the closest I can get. My sewing machine does embroidery and it is not that fancy, but it is lot's of work, so at the end I ask a store to do it for me, so I paid $6 for that. I think that's the only thing I ask them to do it for me. Have a awesome day! XoXo, Li
