My dining chairs are finished and they are keepers for sure! I love these chairs. I bought them, (plus a table which I promptly sold) on ebay for around $80 the lot. My kind friend Sandy from the blog Sandy's Place painted them for me in Dulux White Antique USA. Then I set about upholstering them in a mid-grey vinyl. This will be very practical when it comes to beetroot and spaghetti sauce! Next I attached the nailhead. It was my first time using this continuous strip of studs and I am loving it! Lastly I painted the brass feature on the bottom of the front legs a nice bright silver.
I have not seen many of these chairs around and despite numerous google image searches the following 2 images were all I could come up with. I nearly died when I was watching The Blindside and saw these chairs which are very similar. (Did anyone else cry for approximately half of that movie or was it just me?)

Didn't Sandy do a great paint job! That's the old upholstery fabric.

They look amazing Ange!! Sandy did a fantastic job painting them and you did a wonderful job re-upholstering them! I love the new colour vinyl and how neat are those continuous studs!! Fantastic job. Enjoy those beauties! ~ Tina xx
Ange they look fabulous. Certainly a great idea to use the grey vinyl to keep it clean from all the bits and pieces younger family members tend to drop.

Ange,
I’m impressed these chairs look amazing! They look high end and tre chic. Don’t worry about the beetroot and spaghetti that will just give them more character and patina. I’m glad you mentioned Blindside. I was debating about watching it, but now I will with a box of tissues next to me.

Absolutely FAN-TAS-TIC! Oh, and how I wish that I could report that the room you featured were mine.

WOW! I believe these are the ones you consulted me about? I l-u-v them! I was eying vinyl the other day. Do you recommend it? And - is that nail head trim the strip kind without the actually "nail" part? If so, how did you attach? Great job! I am so inspired.

Gorgeous chairs and a great job you girls did. Where did you get the continuous nailhead trim? Love it.
Hi Ange,
Those are fabulous looking chairs - and what a deal! I've looked around trying to find a name for that style, but I haven't figured it out yet. I will be at the High Point furniture market next week and if I spy a similar style, I'll let you know!
Alex

HI Ange, I've been missing you!!!!
It was late night when I did the ruffle flower, but I'll make more and will post the DIY soon. It's too cute to keep it for myself only...

I also have to say I was so busy admiring your chairs I didn't realize how G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S your table is.
WOW i really like this!!
Beautiful chairs. Very similar to the ones in the movie. Haven't seen Blind Side yet, but want to see it SOON! Sad Sandra Bullock is going through marital problems.
I am having chair envy, thanks for stopping by to see the shed, between you and me, we probably have enough chairs to seat an army.
OMG - these are gorgeous! I so wish I could find chairs HALF as chic as yours. I am in the process of re-doing my dining room now and found you via a Google search for painting dining chairs white - so glad I did. Very nice! You are quite talented! Happy Memorial Day!
