Dropcloth Headboard Before/After

I got this headboard for $5 and have just finished covering it in dropcloth and stenciling a fleur-de-lis and black stripes. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Before...

After....

I tried to use the seams on the dropcloth to my advantage....

I love dropcloth for it's colour and texture. What you've done here is sensational Ange. The seams look great down the side too, and your stencilling?! Ah it's so clever! xx

This may be my favorite project of yours yet! How did you get the paint not to bleed through the tape for the stripes?

As I tell people all the time a good headboard can make a bedroom beautiful. I love what you did with this headboard. It's so pretty now. The french touch is the best part.
