Armchair Project

Oh my poor neglected wee blog!!!!

But enough of that..... here is the latest project I have been working on, along with Queen of Furniture Painting herself, Sandy of Paint Me White

This most gorgeous armchair has had a wonderful transformation as a result of blood, sweat and tears (speaking for myself, it really did literally involve all three!). What an awesome result and our client was very happy I do believe.

In the process of upholstering this chair I somehow mastered the art of double piping and I'm so happy about that I could scream!!!! I was at the point of giving up when 'hey presto', it worked :)

The fabric is an exquisite import from USA. How delicious is it?!?!?!

Trust you all have had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend.

That fabric is deliciously exquisite! That particular shade of blue is so calming and serenity inducing. You've done a great job too; painting all the woodwork white and doing that double piping as well.

Holy smokes Ange! Incredible!! Congratulations on the double piping. It was clearly worth the blood, sweat and tears, as you've excelled yourselves. You and Sandy have done an amazing job.
For some reason all I can think of is Huey and Gwyneth's "I love it when were grooving together". Do you sing that when you work?
Seriously. It's stunning - bravo!

One word - STUNNING!

Ange that fabric is stunning! I'm in the process of reupholstering a box couch and have all but finished. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to connect the piping together (it's to go on the front arm facing forward). How did you do that double welting? x

Did you happen to also do the painting in the bottom picture? I have a very large canvas that I have painted white and that's something I would like to copy!!
