Bits and Pieces

I have a few projects waiting in the wings at the moment.

I finished these chairs today. I just had to screw the cushions on. Don't they look nice around my dining table. I am going to sell these as I am still infatuated with my white/grey studded chairs.

I went op shopping yesterday. Didn't score much but I picked up this (see below). Not sure what to call it but I do have a few ideas about what I'll do to it. One idea involves cooking utensils and the other, coat hooks. Do you have any other ideas for me? Feel free to share!

This table is one of a pair which eventually will go either side of the sofa in our "formal"lounge. They need a bit of finishing and a coat of paint. I have high hopes for these 2.

This clock I bought at the Reject Shop. It is going to look so different once I have had my way with it...stay tuned :-)

A before and after (don't we all just love a good before and after?)
El cheapo lamp/wicker shade.....
BEFORE

AFTER

And last but not least, this is the ottoman I am working on for a lady I met recently. Bit of an animal print thing going on here....

...and this is the fabric she gave me to recover the ottoman with. I'll keep you posted as it progresses.

Ange the chairs are lovely as usual. I think you should turn your applique thingy into a chalk board but you may already have one so maybe some hooks for coats would be nice.
I want those glass top tables so name your price. Can't wait to see the ottoman. Talk to you soon Sandy x

Love your chairs that you redid and love the table. You have some great pieces to work on. If I had that wonderful clock and all it's chippy shabby wonder it would go up just like it is. I love it. I have a thing for big clocks anyway. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi, so glad I came across your blog ... I had to laugh as I too spend a LOT of money on interior magazines. I am also an ex kiwi who loves to op shop - your before and afters are fantastic. New to blogging, I guess you could say I have one of those 'home' blogs (along with talking about my creative pastime). Can't wait to see what you do with your new finds. Looking forward to your next post. Michelle

Wow, you sure have been a busy one! I love the clock face you found and the fabric on the chairs is so pretty!

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I was getting a little nervous after I hit my publish button and no one was commenting. I finally did get some responses. I think things like that really make people uncomfortable. I'm one of those people if I see something that strikes a cord with me I need to share, so thanks for letting me share!
