Stencils and a Chalkboard Makeover

I ordered a stencil online from Maison De Stencils and was excited to have a go with it today. I am really happy with the result and am sure it will be appearing on my furniture projects and soft furnishings before too long!

Below is a large framed picture I won at the Tender Centre for $5. I painted it with blackboard paint and glued the rope around the inside edge for a nautical/beach feel. Now I wish I had a spare wall to hang it on! Guess I will just have to sell this baby.

Love what you've created with that painting, turning it into a chalkboard. That's awesum cause the painting was terrible. Score for $5 though. That stencil is beautiful. You could create some great looking french pieces with that. So neat. Hey do you know how to make large photo frames or mirrores vintage looking. I'm currently looking for one for my wedding in silver.
