Being Creative...

It has been such a busy week what with my usual typing work, getting ready for a garage sale and to top it all off, 4 out of the 5 of us falling ill with a tummy bug (had all 3 kids home from school on Friday).
During the sorting out of what to sell vs what to keep, I came across some art that I had done whilst surviving our looooong 2 years in Wagga Wagga , (what can I say, I'm a city girl).
Funny story about the picture above the bed there. It came crashing down on top of us in the wee small hours one night, gave us one heck of a fright! While this piece was still being created in my mind , I searched through Bunnings looking for some sort of material to use and came across this plastic that is used by plumbers for something or other....it suited the purpose beautifully.

The large picture of the urn was made by projecting the image up onto the canvas using a lamp and then drawing around the shadow it cast.
The trio of koru were painted during an episode of intense homesickness (I'll always be a kiwi). I used tiling adhesive to give texture.
The fleur de lis is done using a stencil and some textural "stuff" I bought from an art shop.
I have many more ideas in my head that I would love to get onto canvas but there just aren't enough hours in the day at the moment.

You are one smart lady! I would never have come up with that idea.
